One of the small power boats used to maneuver bridge sections. They really don't look sleek or fast.
But looks can deceive as seen in this image. The small power boats actually have a pretty high top speed when operating alone.
Transporter moving unpowered bridge section to the water's edge.
At water's edge waiting to deploy the bridge section. The next step is for a soldier to get their feet wet as they wade out to release the bridge section from the transport.
The released bridge section rolls off the transport into the water. The wet soldier wades back to shore.
Once in the water, the bridge section begins to unfold.
And with a final, big, splash lays out flat ready for use. The small power boat will tie onto the bridge section and move it to wherever it is needed. The bridge sections can be mated to form a longer bridge or used independently as single vehicle ferries or barges.
